Intro for “Today I Started Lovin’ You Again”.   By Jack Stoner

 

Here is a different intro for this song, as I played it on a recent recording session.  The singer wanted a steel guitar intro instead of the usual Merle Haggard arrangement intro.  It is in the Key of E and uses the A and B Pedals and the F and D Knee Levers (F lever raises the E’s ˝ tone and D lever lowers the E’s ˝ tone).

 NOTE:  At the ending of the lick there is a slide from the 12th fret to the 7th fret and then pedal in to end the lick.  When you pick and slide from the 12th fret to the 7th fret, hold the note for one count at the 7th fret before “pedaling in” with the A and B pedals.
