Intro for “Almost There”.   By Jack Stoner

Here is an E9th intro that I did on a recent recording session.  The song is an original, “Almost There”, written by Jimmy Peppers (BMI).  This is a neat 1, 3m, 4, 5, 1 intro.  The song is a medium tempo 4/4 and in the Key of E.  The chord progression is E, G# minor, A, B, E (for those that are not familiar with the number system).  It only uses the A and B pedals.

NOTE:  There is a “rocking” effect on the G# minor, portion of the lick.  I used a bar slide back and forth between the 7th fret and approx ˝ fret low (6 ˝).
